Nashville Scrappers hosts their annual media day
Last Saturday, the Nashville Scrappers held their annual media day.
Head coach Shawn Jackson reported the Scrappers have had 25 practices in helmets and shoulder pads, but this week, they will put on the pads.
Coach Jackson said he realized expectations were high, but it’s that kind of pressure that forms diamonds.
Jackson’s coaching staff will include the addition of coach Jacob Greenfield. Jacob is the younger brother of coach Adam Greenfield.
Adam has been on the Scrapper staff for 3 years. For the past two years, he coached the offensive and defensive lines for the junior high, but this season he will focus on the defensive lines for both junior and senior.
Jacob will be coaching the defensive backs.
Adam stated he was looking forward to coaching with his brother.
Jacob said he was looking forward to working at a place as special as Nashville.
The Nashville Scrappers are scheduled to play a benefit game on Tuesday, August 20th. The Junior Scrappers will open their season on Thursday, August 29th at home against Greenwood. The Senior Scrappers will open the season on Friday, August 30th at home against the Magnolia Panthers.
