Nashville Scrappers Stay Perfect with 48–25 Homecoming Victory Over Fouke

The Nashville Scrappers gave their homecoming crowd plenty to celebrate Friday night, putting together an explosive offensive performance and making key defensive stops to defeat the Fouke Panthers, 48–25. With the victory, Nashville remains undefeated at 6–0 overall and improves to 3–0 in conference play.

The Scrappers showcased their ability to respond to adversity, turning an early deficit into a commanding lead before holding off a second-half push from the Panthers. Nashville’s offense found the end zone throughout the night, while the defense delivered timely stops and blocked extra-point attempts to help secure the Homecoming victory.

Fouke struck first with a 42-yard passing touchdown to receiver Bryce Graves, followed by a successful extra point to take a 7–0 lead.

Nashville quickly answered when Jacoby Hopson found the end zone for the Scrappers. Byron Murillo connected on the extra point, tying the game at 7–7.

After the Panthers turned the ball over and were forced to punt, Nashville capitalized on the opportunity. With the Scrappers facing first-and-goal, Bryce Perrin powered his way into the end zone to give Nashville a 13–7 lead. Byron Murillo added the successful extra point, extending the Scrappers’ advantage to 14–7.

The Panthers then hurt themselves with a five-yard offsides penalty on fourth down, turning a fourth-and-four situation into fourth-and-nine. Their ensuing punt backed Nashville up to its own 1-yard line, but that proved to be no obstacle for Hopson. The Scrappers running back broke through for another touchdown, and Murillo’s extra point made it 21–7 with 3:23 remaining in the first quarter.

The second quarter featured another opportunity for Nashville to build on its lead. With 1:21 remaining before halftime, the Scrappers faced a fourth-and-nine situation. DJ Jefferson attempted a pass to Xavier Vaughn, but the ball fell incomplete.

Nashville’s defense then came up with a crucial play to get the ball back, giving the Scrappers another chance to score before the break.

The opportunity paid off with just 47 seconds remaining in the half, as Jaylon Staggers crossed the endzone for another Nashville touchdown. (SB)

The extra point was good, sending the Scrappers into halftime with a commanding 28–7 advantage.

Fouke came out of halftime looking to make a comeback, scoring on a quarterback-keep play to cut into Nashville’s lead. However, the Panthers’ extra-point attempt was blocked by Bo Dean, keeping the score at 28–13.

Graves found the end zone again to cut Nashville’s lead to 28–19. However, the Scrappers’ defense came up with a crucial stop on the two-point conversion attempt, preventing Fouke from getting any closer and preserving Nashville’s nine-point advantage.

The Scrappers answered with a touchdown by Jakari Starr, although the two-point conversion attempt failed, extending the lead to 34–19.

Nashville delivered another major blow when Perrin broke loose for a spectacular 96-yard touchdown run. Murillo added the extra point, pushing the Scrappers’ advantage to 41–19.

Fouke continued to fight in the fourth quarter, scoring its final touchdown on another passing play to Graves to make it 41–25. Once again, Dean came up with a key special-teams play, blocking the Panthers’ extra-point attempt.

The Scrappers responded by putting the game away. Perrin scored his third touchdown of the night, and Murillo converted the extra point to give Nashville a 48–25 lead.

Nashville’s 48–25 win was another important step in an undefeated season. The Scrappers improved to 6–0 overall and 3–0 in conference play, continuing to build momentum as the schedule moves forward.

Perrin’s three touchdown runs, including the remarkable 96-yard score, highlighted Nashville’s offensive production. Hopson also delivered two first-quarter touchdowns, while Staggers and Starr added scores of their own.

Defensively, Nashville made its presence felt with a key stop on Fouke’s two-point conversion attempt, and Dean’s two blocked kicks helped limit the Panthers’ scoring opportunities.

With the Homecoming crowd celebrating another victory, the Scrappers will now turn their attention to their next challenge: an away matchup against the Ashdown Panthers.

At 6–0, Nashville will look to keep its perfect season alive and continue its strong run through conference play.
