Nashville Scrappers vs Charleston Tigers

Friday night, the Nashville Scrappers improved to 3 and 1 on the season with a 26 to 21 victory over the defending 3A state Champs, the Charleston Tigers.

Nashville scored first on a touchdown pass from Karson Chambers to Kason Morgan. Chambers would connect with Morgan late in the second quarter and the Scrappers took a 12 to nothing lead. Here’s the call as heard on B 99.5. 

Charleston would respond with two scores of their own. The final three minutes of the first half and the Tigers lead 14 to 12 at the half.

It was a scoreless third quarter, but the Scrapper defense came up big on two goal line stands inside the 1-yard line. Here’s the call on the second goal line stand. 

Nashville took the lead back early in the fourth quarter on a touchdown run by Chambers. He also secured the win when he scored on another run touchdown run with about six minutes to play in the game. Here’s the call on B 99.5. 

The Tigers would score about two minutes later but wasn’t able to overcome the Scrappers in the final moments of the game. 

Nashville had 410 total yards, including 299 on the ground. The Scrapper defense held the Tigers to 37 yards rushing. The Scrappers open conference play this Friday on the road at Arkadelphia.
