Nashville ‘State of the City” address

As required by state law, Nashville Mayor Billy Ray Jones presented a “State of the City” report to aldermen during Monday’s regular January council meeting. He says the city is in good financial shape, at the present time:

The mayor says the one area that is close to having more expense that revenue is the water and sewer departments.

Last year’s final budget numbers included $8.82 million dollars in total income and $8.54 million in expenditures.
