Nearly $7.67 million collected in Howard County

Tax collections in Howard County amounted to nearly $7.67 million dollars by the October 15th payment deadline. Chief Deputy Collector Olena Morris said an additional $885,000 dollars remains to be collected, pending corrections and/or exemptions.
Morris said October 13th was the largest single day of payments received, at $1.1 million dollars. The following day was the second highest one day collection total, at just under one million dollars.
