Newhope man charged with sexual assault

A Newhope man charged last week with 4th Degree Sexual Assault is scheduled for a trial date of May 13th. 26 year old Christopher Shawn Rider was arrested and charged following an investigation that began last May when a sexual abuse report was made to the Crimes Against Children division of the Arkansas State Police. Authorities allege Rider had a sexual relationship with a 15 year old female.
A pre-trial date was set for April 26th.
