NHS Golf Coach guest speaker at this week’s Nashville Rotary Club meeting

Nashville High School Golf coach Aaron Worthen was the guest speaker at Wednesday’s Nashville Rotary Club meeting.

Coach Worthen said the Scrapperette golf team is the seven time district champs and they are undefeated in district play for the past seven years. He said this year’s team finished first, second, third and fourth in the district tournament and qualified for the state tournament, which was held on Tuesday on the Magellan Golf Course in Hot Springs Village. Worthen said the team finished fifth out of 12 teams at the state tournament.

Parker Tate was named All-District and All-State after she finished tied for 6th place in the state tournament. Rayleigh Harmon, Kinley Martin and Cassie Stephenson were named to the All-District team.

Worthen said every member of his Scrapper and Scrapperette squads will be back next year.

Zeus Hutchinson and Manny Goff will represent Nashville High School in the boys state tournament on Tuesday, October 8 on the Desoto Golf Course in Hot Springs Village.
