Hunter named Prosecuting Attorney for 9th West Judicial District

De Queen attorney Erin Hunter will be named Prosecuting Attorney for the 9th West Judicial District to begin 2021. Governor Asa Hutchinson has announced his intentions of appointing Hunter to fill the unexpired term of Bryan Chesshir, who was elected Circuit Judge for the 9th West District this year to replace the retiring Judge Charles Yeargan.
Hunter has served as city attorney for De Queen and Dierks, along with being a deputy prosecutor for Sevier County. Hunter will serve as prosecutor through 2022.
