NJHS Science Club hosting Chicken Dinner Fundraiser
The Nashville Junior High School Science Club will be hosting a Chicken Dinner Fundraiser tomorrow May 4th from 11am to 1pm at the Occasions Parking Lot located at 1401 South Main Street here in Nashville.
NJHS 8th grade student Leo Hernandez talked about the upcoming fundraiser and the price of the dinners they will be selling.
The dinners include: Chicken, potato salad, beans, bread, dessert, and water. Proceeds will go towards NJHS Science Club travel cost to Orlando Florida. Science Teacher Araceli Hernandez stated that the Science Club consisted of 7th through 9th graders. Hernandez also mentioned they have six students going to Orlando this year and the biggest group they have taken was about 27 students. Hernandez mentioned the Science Club taking a trip to Orlando Florida every year and how learning about science is incorporated into the trip.
Hernandez said they will be leaving June 8th and coming back on June 12th. Hernandez also discussed what taking this trip means to her and how it benefits the students.
