No Frost for Southwest Arkansas – yet

As we head into mid November, the area has still not seen a widespread, killing frost or a freeze, both of which should have already taken place. According to the National Weather Service, Nashville’s first frost of the fall & winter season happens on November first. Typically, the first freeze would be seen on Veterans Day.
There have been a couple days where scattered frost has been reported, but a widespread, growing season ending frost has not happened. Freezing temperatures the past two years has occurred in early November. In 2017, the first freeze for Nashville didn’t happen until November 19th
