No Sporting Events Allowed At Nashville City Park This Summer

The Nashville Parks and Recreation Commission has decided there will be no sporting events or tournaments played at the local city park due to a lack of staff in place to safely meet guidelines and requirements put in place by the Arkansas Department of Health.

Parks director Mark Dale said the decision came during a Thursday park commission meeting. Teams will still be allowed to use fields at the city park to practice as long as all state guidelines are met.

Park commissioners will reassess the situation for the fall sports during the group’s July meeting.

Dale said refund checks for this year’s baseball season will be available for pickup today (Friday) at the park office. Anyone who requested a refund will be contacted by phone.
