Not a lot of construction in 2020 in City of Nashville
2020 saw little in the way of construction projects in the Nashville area. Code Enforcement Officer David Riggs, who is in charge of issuing permits related to these types of projects, said there were no new commercial or residential construction projects authorized by the city last year. A remodeling project for relocation of the Howard Memorial Hospital pediatric rehab service to South 4th Street and a warehouse addition to the Coca Cola-Dr Pepper Bottling Company, also on South 4th Street, were the only two commercial permits issued in 2020 for remodeling.
Riggs said a couple of solar projects and a few minor add-ons were the major residential projects in Nashville during 2020.
