Now is a good time to start composting
Now that the seasons are changing from fall to winter and leaves are beginning to drop from trees, the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service says leaves make outstanding compost that’s beneficial to the soil. Pike County Extension Agent Terrell Davis says the process can done quickly with a lawnmower. Some people may prefer the slower process with the use of a homemade composter can deliver results in plenty of time for next year’s growing season:
