NPD involved in car chase

Early Friday morning one was arrested and another is at-large after a chase involving Nashville police in Howard County. The following is a press release from Nashville Police Chief Amy Marion:
On Friday morning, April 30th, at approximately 4:45am, Nashville City Officer Lt. Clinton Tedford was off duty and noticed a white Toyota driving into town on Mt. Pleasant Drive. Lt. Tedford noticed that the truck was driving with only the parking lights on. Lt. Tedford followed the truck and saw it pass a vehicle on a double yellow line just past Mt. Pleasant and Pope Street. Lt. Tedford called Nashville City Officer David Galvan and gave him the information and location. Officer David Galvan tried to initiate a traffic stop on 4th street and the truck continued, not stopping. The truck turned into Murphy Oil where it struck a light pole causing it to break. A black male jumped out of the passenger side and took off running. Lt. Tedford tried to identify the passenger but he fled on foot. Officer Galvan pursued the truck. At that time, dispatch received a 911 call reporting that a resident on Mt. Pleasant Drive had just noticed his truck had been stolen. Dispatch confirmed it was the truck Officer Galvan was pursuing. The pursuit continued to the Mineral Springs area and into a field where Officer Galvan’s patrol car got stuck. Howard County Deputy Kevin Rodgers and Nashville City Officers Jason Icenhower and Justin Westfall had joined the pursuit. At that point all officers had lost sight of the truck. A short time later, the stolen truck was found in Mineral Springs abandoned. The driver has not been located at the time of this report. Officers were able to locate the passenger walking on Hwy 27s. After a short foot pursuit, the passenger of the vehicle identified as Christopher Lee Brown Jr., age 18, of Texarkana, was arrested and transported to the Howard County Jail.
