Officers of HPD find subject near railroad tracks

On Tuesday, December 19th, 2023, at 9:28am, the Hope Police Department was contacted by a representative of Union Pacific in reference to a subject lying beside the railroad tracks near Southern Bakery and U.S. Highway 67. The Hope Police Department, the Hope Fire Department, along with Pafford EMS responded to the scene and reportedly located an injured subject near the railroad tracks. The subject informed officers on scene that they had jumped from the railroad overpass bridge on Highway 67 East.  The subject was subsequently transported to a medical facility for their injuries. Officers also reported that no criminal activity is suspected at this time.
