Officers of the Hope police department recognized for saving an infant

Arkansas State Representative Danny Watson presented Sgt. Dusty Townsend and Cpl. Charlie Featherston with thank you letters from the State of Arkansas, House of Representatives for their heroic efforts of saving an infant.

It was reported that on April 22nd at approximately 2:57pm Sergeant Townsend and Corporal Featherston received a call, in reference to an unresponsive infant on North Cedar Street in Hope, AR. Upon arriving, officers reportedly discovered the infant was not breathing and began CPR. The actions of these officers prolonged the infant’s life to receive medical care at the hospital.
