Oklahoma Man Injured While Hunting

A 65 year old man from Oklahoma was injured following an accident while hunting in Hempstead County on Sunday, October 20th. Bingen First Responders, Pafford Ambulance Service, and Deputy Eric Garner with the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Department responded to 219 Hempstead 31 on Sunday evening in reference to a hunting accident. Steve Smith of Oklahoma City was transported by helicopter to a Hot Springs hospital. Deputy Garner reported that Corporal Jeff Neel of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission advised that he believed Smith fell while trying to get out of his deer stand. Smith’s condition is not known at this time.
