One Bridge Project Complete, One To Go in the City of Nashville

The city of Nashville has one bridge project complete and one still to be finished. Public Works Director Larry Dunaway said the bridge at 8th and Pope was open for motorists on the first day of school Monday, and said there were no traffic issues:

The remaining bridge to be fixed is the boxcar bridge that connects East Howard with the Highway 27 Bypass. Dunaway says the 8 steel beams, each 90 feet in length, arrived late last week:

In addition to the bridge projects, Dunaway says his street crews are working on some draining issues and will be focusing on repairing some of the pot holes that developed due to the heavy rains this year.
