Outlaws Fall, Kirby Wins, Nashville To Play In State Basketball Tournaments

The Dierks Outlaws were eliminated from the 2A State Basketball Tournament Tuesday afternoon in Quitman. Dierks played Marianna Lee, which is ranked number one in the Double A classification, close through the first quarter. However, Lee scored 11 unanswered to put the game out of reach enroute to a 57-36 victory.

Dierks finishes the year with a record of 21-7.

Also Tuesday, the Kirby Lady Trojans had an easy first round game as they defeated Western Yell County by a score of 80-9.

Today, the Nashville Scrappers will try to advance. Nashville faces Morillton, which is a five ‘a’ classification school. Today’s game at Farmington begins at 5:30 and will be broadcast on B 99.5 FM.
