Overturned Log Truck

An accident early Tuesday morning took place at the intersection of highway 371 and 27. A log truck coming into town on 371 attempted to make a left hand turn onto Highway 27 South but negotiated the turn at too high a rate of speed. This caused the truck to overturn and lose its load of timber in the ditch in front of First State Bank. Ty Basiliere, with the Nashville Police Department, said no injuries were reported.
