Piece of Howard County History Restored and Dedicated at Family Day

Sunday afternoon, the Howard County Historical Society held a Family Day to celebrate and dedicate its newly restored 1934 fire wagon.
The event featured activities for the entire family, including pumpkin painting, food and homemade ice cream.
During the dedication ceremony, Historical Society Board President Freddie Horn shared the history of the fire wagon and its significance to the community.
Horn also recognized those who helped make the restoration of the historic fire wagon possible.
Tim and Dena Pinkerton, along with Lauren and Josh Zylks, donated the funds to purchase the fire wagon.
The restored 1934 fire wagon will now be on display at the Howard County Historical Society Museum on Sypert Street, where visitors can see a piece of the county’s firefighting history.
