Pike County Court

28 year old, Kassandra Jordan of Glenwood was seen in Pike County Court Monday afternoon. Jordan is facing 2 felony charges both for endangering the welfare of a minor in the 1st degree. In the state of Arkansas this is a class D felony. The 1st degree indicates that Jordan is either the parent, guardian or is legally charged with the care or  supervision of the minors involved.

For the safety of the minors involved their names have been left out of this story.

Continuing, the 4 year old and 3 year old in Jordan’s care were taken by the Arkansas Department of Human Services to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital where hair follicle drug screens were administered. The 10-drug hair panel test returned on the 4 year old tested positive for Amphetamines, Methamphetamine, and Cannabinoids. The 3 year old in Jordan’s care also received the same 10-drug hair panel test of which tested positive for Cannabinoids. When presented with this information Jordan plead “Not Guilty”.

The honorable Brian Chesshir set Jordan’s bond at $25,000 and scheduled her pretrial date for January 3rd and her trial date for February 3rd.
