Pike County Election Results
The Pike County Election results are in.
Pike
County Voters went to the poll to vote whether or not the county should
be wet or dry and by 6 votes the county voted against for the
manufacture or sale of intoxicating liquors by the vote of 1,852 to
1,858.
Residents of the city of Murfreesboro
elected Jim O’Neal as the new mayor by a vote of 375 for O’Neal, 117
for Jack Bonds and 83 for Randy “Flick” Hignight. Kirk J Stone was
elected Murfreesboro Alderman-North Ward Position 2. Stone had 332 votes
to Lance Bridgeman 224 votes.
In other local
races, Eddie Howard was elected for Pike County Judge with 2,615 votes
to Dewight Mack 1,106 votes. Staci Stewart was elected Pike County
Assessor with 2,657 votes to Jennifer Watson 1,004 votes.
In
statewide races, Pike County votes elected Sarah Huckabee Sanders as
Governor, Leslie Rutledge as Lt. Governor, John Thurston as Secretary of
State, Tim Griffin as Attorney General, Dennis Milligan as Auditor of
the State, Tommy Land for Commissioner of State Lands and Mark Lowery as
State Treasurer.
On the four issues that were
on the ballot, Pike County voters voted against Issue 1, against Issue
2, against Issue 3 and against Issue 4.
