Pike County Extension Agent provides tips for livestock during poor weather conditions
Cold weather stress on livestock could be a problem as we move through the next week. Pike County Extension Agent Terrell Davis encourages farmers to give their livestock a little more hay and grain than normal to help them weather the cold temperatures and possible precipitation:

Davis also reminds everyone to keep fresh water available, which could be a problem for pets having to stay outside during the prolonged cold spell.
