Pike County Quorum Court approves 2023 budget

On Monday evening, the Pike County Quorum Court approved an ordinance for the Pike County 2023 budget.
Treasurer Loletia A. Rather reported for the month of November County General had a beginning balance of $1,759,305.66 and an ending balance of $1,762,145.58. County Road had a beginning balance of $683,581.24 and an ending balance of $788,890.35. Landfill had a beginning balance of $863,755.43 and an ending balance of $910,122.09.
Justices of the Peace made an approval of resolutions to allocate funds from the American Rescue Plan ACT 2021 for the reimbursement of the kitchen equipment in the jail, the 2023 salaries and benefits of the Pike County Sheriff’s Department, and an additional purchase to outfit three Tahoe patrol cars.
