Pike County Quorum Court approves purchase of new roller
The Pike County Quorum Court has voted this week to use a portion of the county’s American Rescue Plan funding to purchase a new piece of equipment for the road department. At Monday’s quorum court meeting, j.p.’s accepted a bid of more than $186,000 dollars from Riggs Caterpiller on the purchase of a new roller. The bid was the lowest of two received, with the other bid coming in at more than $227,000 dollars.
It was also mentioned Monday, that county attorney Jana Bradford is working to create a vicious dog policy for the county, and it should be presented for discussion at next month’s meeting.
