Pike County Quorum Court Discusses Feral Hogs
The issue of feral hogs was again discussed at this week’s meeting of the Pike County Quorum Court and for the second month in a row, no action was taken on the matter. County Judge Dewight Mack said he has been approached by two individuals who are interested in trapping the hogs for free. There was also another trapper in attendance at the meeting Tuesday night along with landowner Darwin Hendrix who is a member of the state’s feral hog task force. Following a lengthy discussion, J.P. John Terrell made a motion to purchase one trap. However, the motion was withdrawn because it failed to receive a second.
