Pike County Quorum Court Member plans to keep Delight Branch Library from closing
Pike County Quorum Court Member of the 3rd District Seth Henry Kirkham of Delight is on a mission to save the Delight Branch Library and the history that it holds. Delight Branch Library is located in downtown Delight. It’s been around since the 1950s and has served several communities and rural areas in Pike County and adjacent regions of Southwest Arkansas.
Kirkham stated that the subject came about last year during a budget meeting and since then he’s been voicing concern on keeping it open.
Kirkham mentioned upcoming events along with some of the work that their new librarian Bethany Welch has done, and he discussed the changes that’s being made.
Kirkham talked about why the public should support local libraries and the importance of being involved in the community.
