HMH blessings newest Safe Haven Baby Box in Arkansas

The Howard Memorial Hospital hosted the 11th Safe Haven Baby Box on Wednesday.

Chairman of the HMH Foundation Board, Gary Dan Futrell talked about the start of the hospital foundation. Futrell even mentioned how things started to fall in place and how they were able to give generously to the hospital foundation.

CNO, Paula Mitchell talked about how the staff of each shift was trained at the hospital to prepare for the Safe Haven Baby Boxes along with policy procedures.

Safe Haven Baby Box Founder, Monica Kelsey had closing remarks and she shared that infant abandonment is happening all over the country. Kelsey even shared a portion of her testimony.

Kelsey also mentioned that Howard Memorial Hospital is the 11th in the state of Arkansas and the first hospital in Arkansas to participate in the Safe Haven Baby Box Blessing. Kelsey stated that this was a monumental moment for the city of Nashville.
