Pike County Sheriff’s Office Issues “Do Not Trick or Treat” Notice Ahead of Halloween

As Halloween approaches, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office is reminding families to stay alert and informed with the release of their annual “Do Not Trick or Treat” list.

In accordance with the Arkansas Sex Offender Registration Act (Ark. Code Ann. §12-12-901 et seq.), Sheriff Travis Hill has issued a warning to avoid specific addresses where Level 3 (High Risk) and Level 4 (Sexually Dangerous) registered sex offenders reside. These individuals are not permitted to participate in Halloween activities such as handing out candy, decorating, or having contact with children on Halloween night.

The following Pike County addresses are included on the 2025 “Do Not Trick or Treat” list:

  • 2989 Hwy 26, Delight, AR
  • 489 E Farm Rd, Delight, AR
  • 1234 N Maple Ave, Murfreesboro, AR
  • 73 Head Rd, Murfreesboro, AR
  • 277 John Ashley Rd, Murfreesboro, AR
  • 415 S 1st Street, Glenwood, AR
  • 18 Rocky Rd, Glenwood, AR

Sheriff Hill urges parents and guardians to take a few extra precautions to ensure a safe and fun Halloween for everyone.

Safety Tips from the Pike County Sheriff’s Office:

  • Review the official “Do Not Trick or Treat” list before heading out.
  • Always supervise children while trick-or-treating.
  • Avoid homes on the list and those with porch lights off.
  • Report any suspicious behavior or violations immediately.

The Sheriff’s Office encourages residents to contact them with any concerns or questions as Halloween festivities begin.
