Pike County Sheriff’s Office Responds to Bomb Threat at CenterPoint School
The Pike County Sheriff’s Office responded quickly to a bomb threat at CenterPoint School on Thursday April 3rd, ensuring the safety of students and staff. The threat prompted an immediate evacuation of the school grounds as emergency personnel took swift action to assess the situation.
According to police records, in cooperation with the Hot Springs Police Department, a bomb-detection dog was brought in to search the school grounds thoroughly. Fortunately, no bombs or suspicious devices were found during the search.
It was reported that the Pike County Sheriff’s Office expressed their deep appreciation for the collaboration of various local agencies, including the Hot Springs Police Department, CenterPoint Schools faculty, Glenwood Police Department, Glenwood Fire Department, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, Pafford EMS, Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Amity Police Department, Pike County Office of Emergency Management, and the Arkansas State Police. These organizations worked together seamlessly to ensure a swift and effective response to the situation.
