Pinkerton elected new county judge

Howard County voters have elected a new county judge to begin serving at the start of 2023.  During Tuesday’s Republican runoff, KMTB/KNAS Station Manager and a 26 year member of the Howard County Quorum Court, Brent Pinkerton defeated incumbent County Judge Kevin Smith.  Final, but unofficial totals from last night, had Pinkerton receiving 696 votes to Smith’s 360.

The results will be certified by the county’s election commission.
