Plane Crashes 50 Miles Northeast of Nashville – 1 Dead

A single engine aircraft, identified as a Cessna 182 was reported missing on Friday after taking off from the airport in Minden, La en route to the Clarksville Municipal Airport in Clarksville, Ark. According to the Federal Aviation Administration there was only 1 person on board being the pilot – Vernon Hampton of Clarksville. Hampton was pronounced dead on the scene. The wreckage of this single engine aircraft was found near Bonnerdale, Approximately 50 miles Northeast of Nashville, on Saturday according to the National Transportation Board.
