Power Still Not Fully Restored In Southwest Arkansas
Several thousand electric customers in Pike, Hempstead, Nevada and Clark counties are still without electricity after Sunday evening’s storms produced straight line winds estimated to be as high as 80 to 100 miles per hour across Arkansas.
While SWEPCO was able to restore service to a majority of its customers by Monday night, Entergy Arkansas crews continued to work on restoring their damaged infrastructure yesterday.
Other providers, including the South Central Arkansas Electric Cooperative, receive their power from Entergy. Rural co-op members in Pike, Clark and Nevada counties also continued to not have their service restored.
