Prescott School District Coach Suspended Pending Investigation into Allegations

A staff member with the Prescott School District has been removed from campus following allegations of inappropriate communication with a minor.
According to district officials, the incident came to light on Tuesday, April 7, during a track meet at Nashville High School, where the employee was confronted on video by individuals associated with a social media group known as “Preds vs Prey.”
In a statement released Wednesday, April 8, and shared via the district’s Facebook page, administrators said they became aware of the situation shortly after the confrontation.
“Once administration was made aware, the staff member was immediately removed from the premises, taken home by the District SRO, and notified that they were not to return until a meeting could be held this morning with the District Superintendent,” the statement read.
Officials confirmed that the meeting has since taken place, and the employee has been removed from campus pending the outcome of an ongoing investigation.
“The safety and wellbeing of our students is always our first concern,” the district said in its statement. “Our investigation into the incident is ongoing. At this time, we are not aware of any of our students being involved, but that does not decrease the seriousness of the accusation or the need to be fully investigated.”
The identity of the employee has not been officially released by the district.
Video circulating on social media appears to show two men confronting the staff member and accusing him of sending explicit messages to a minor. However, those allegations have not been independently confirmed by authorities, and no formal charges had been announced as of Thursday.
School officials say they are limited in what they can release due to the personnel nature of the matter, but additional updates are expected as more information becomes available.
