Public Meeting In Nashville Scheduled For Next Week
A public meeting will be held Tuesday at Nashville City Hall to help identify and prioritize needs to see if a state grant will be sought after, and if so, what the funds would be used for. Based on needs, the city could apply for funds through the Arkansas Community and Economic Development Program. These funds will be made available to cities and counties according to need and can be used for community facilities, public infrastructure or economic development but must address one several objectives. These include providing a benefit to low and moderate income families, aiding in the prevention of slum and blight or meet other needs that pose a serious immediate threat to the health or welfare of the town and no other funding is available.
Tuesday’s public meeting begins at noon.
