Ralph Gross Memorial Tournament Underway In Nashville
At the Ralph Gross Memorial Tournament Thursday, the Nashville Scrappers picked up their second baseball win of the season, 9-1 over Mayflower. Garrett Willard was the winning pitcher for Nashville. He allowed six hits while striking out sx batters.
Offensively, The Scrappers were led by Aaron Lott. He finished with thee hits and drove in three runs in the victory.
In yesterday’s other games, Warren defeated Ashdown 13-3 and Magnolia beat James Bowie 8-1.
Today’s schedule includes a 3 o’clock contest between Prairie Grove & Redwater. Nashville will face Warren in the 2nd game today at 5:15, and Ashdown plays Mayflower at 7:30.
The Scrapperette Softball Team will also be in action this weekend at a tournament in Arkadelphia. Today, Nashville will face Mt. Ida in a 5:30 contest and then play Hope at 7:30 in the single elimination tournament. The semifinals will take place tomorrow at noon, with the finals being played Saturday afternoon at two o’clock.
