Regional basketball action underway: Outlaws and Lady Rattlers advance to state
In high school regional basketball tournament play Wednesday, the Nashville Scrappers saw their season end in the first round against Magnolia, 63 to 40. The Scrappers played Magnolia tight in the first quarter. By halftime, the Panthers held a double digit lead and the margin continued to increase during the second half.
The Scrapperettes will make their first appearance in the Star City regional today, as they take on the Camden Fairview Lady Cardinals at 4 o’clock. B99.5 will have the broadcast.
Two other area teams also advanced with wins yesterday. At the 2A regional in Caddo Hills, the Murfreesboro Lady Rattlers defeated Spring Hill and the Dierks Outlaws secured a spot in next week’s state tournament with a 30 point victory over Woodlawn yesterday.
