Elected officials in Howard County sworn in Monday, Jan. 2

Swearing in ceremonies were held yesterday for a variety of elected officials in Howard County. Members of the Howard County Quorum Court, along with most city council members from Nashville, Dierks, Tollette, and Mineral Springs took their oaths of office for the new term that begins with the start of this year.

Nashville Mayor Larry Dunaway stated that this was a great experience and he’s ready to get started.

Mayor Dunaway also discussed what projects are coming up for the city of Nashville.

Howard County Judge Brent Pinkerton couldn’t attend due to being ill but Circuit Court Judge Bryan Chesshir stated that he would get him sworn in as soon as he is feeling better.
