Registration Underway for Scrapper Youth Football

Registration and Media Day for Scrapper Youth Football is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 11th, and Thursday, August 13th. Scrapper Youth Coach Leslie Hendrix says the team is open to players entering the third through sixth grades. Players will be running the same plays that are used by the junior & senior Scrappers. The goal for the youth team is to learn the necessary skills & correct fundamentals for playing football so they will be ready to contribute when they reach the junior and senior programs.
Parents should bring a copy of their player’s birth certificate. Players who participated in the program last year will already have a copy on file. Hendrix says players must be present to register because they will be sized for the proper pads and helmet.
Equipment rental fees include $15 for shoulder pads and $35 for helmets. Players may also purchase their jersey for $35, or use the one from last year.
There is also a $15 for insurance and $15 trophy fee.
