Rosson of Gillham running for State Representative District 87
Marc Rosson, the former Gillham Fire Chief, community volunteer, and businessman from Gillham recently announced that he is running for State Representative in District 87 which takes the Dierks area in Howard County along with Sevier and Little River Counties. Rosson has had many accomplishments and leadership experiences as a firefighter/ first responder for 8 years and fire chief for 5 of those years.
While there he got the fire ratings lowered which lowered homeowners’ insurance. He also started a kids day program teaching kids and parents how to prevent a fire and how to escape one. Rosson became a level 1 instructor and a BLS through the fire academy. In five years, Ross raised over $100,000 dollars in private and public grants.
Rosson has been married almost 25 years to his teenage sweetheart Dianne, who grew up in Dierks and graduated there and they both graduated from UA Cossatot. They have 4 children and have been foster parents as well. Rosson is currently a contractor for USPS and has been delivering mail for over 14 years. In the early 2000s Rosson started investing into real estate property. He now owns several hundred acres, many houses, commercial and industrial properties and recreational properties.
Rosson said that he will work for the people in district 87 by working to get the taxes lowered, end grocery tax, defend peoples right, and to get the eviction process cleaned up.
