Rotary Club – Master Gardener

Rotary Club met Wednesday afternoon with speakers from the Master Gardener program presenting. Vice-President Gerry Wenta spoke to the many programs that they host all of which are geared towards community involvement.

Programs for all ages are designed to help educate those interested on the various topics surrounding having a successful garden. From when to grow, what to grow, how to grow, and even how to cook what you grow. Some of the programs highlighted Wednesday during rotary included the Nashville Demonstration Organic Garden, Kidz Klub for ages 3-10, Square Foot Gardens, Community Greenhouse, and County-wide seed swap.

Upcoming events held by local Master Gardeners include how to properly winterize your garden and seed saving. President of the program, Mike Myers, invited all interested to call and check out the programs available and said that volunteers are always needed to help with various projects that are ongoing.
