Saturday night accident claims life of Mineral Springs resident

Arkansas State Police say a Mineral Springs resident died Saturday night in a three vehicle collision on Highway 27. The deceased was identified as 58 year old Tony Ray Young. Troopers say Young was south bound in a Dodge Avenger. Another vehicle, a 2016 Kia, was also traveling south. Both of those vehicles were struck by a north bound Hyundai Santa Fe that was driven by 33 year old Brandi Turner, who has a Lockesburg address. Police reports say Turner’s vehicle crossed the center line, striking the Kia, and then colliding head on with Young’s vehicle. Turner was injured in the accident and taken to a Texarkana hospital.
The accident happened just after 11:30 Saturday night and was investigated by Joshua Broughton.
