School Buses Carrying Nashville Seniors Involved in I-30 Crash

Details are emerging after a multi-vehicle accident involving Nashville School District buses occurred late Wednesday morning.

It was reported, the crash happened on eastbound Interstate 30 near Exit 123 as buses carrying seniors from Nashville High School were traveling to Little Rock for a planned trip. Emergency responders arrived quickly to assist and evaluate those involved.

In a statement released around 11 a.m. Wednesday, school officials confirmed that three buses were involved in the accident. At that time, no injuries had been officially reported. District leaders also said they were working with law enforcement and nearby school districts to arrange safe transportation for students back to Nashville.

Shortly after, emergency radio communications indicated that two individuals were transported to Saline Memorial Hospital for evaluation. By 11:14 a.m., responders classified three individuals as “green” patients, indicating minor injuries and that they were able to walk.

Authorities remained on the scene Wednesday as they worked to determine the cause of the crash and ensure all students and staff were accounted for. More information is expected to be released as the investigation continues.
