Scrapper Football Still Scheduled To Begin Next Month

At this point, the Nashville Scrapper football season is still on track to begin in late August against Pleasant Grove, Texas.

Superintendent Doug Graham has announced several key dates for events to begin around the start of the school year.

The senior high Scrapper football team is scheduled to play Hot Springs Lakeside in a scrimmage August 18th on the campus of Henderson State University. Lakeside is coached by Nashville graduate Jared McBride.

The Junior Scrappers will scrimmage against Hope August 20th and the date for the annual Back To School Bash is set for August 14th.

Graham said there’s still no news to report on season football ticket sales. At the present time, state guidelines limit attendance to 66 percent of an outdoor venue’s capacity.
