Scrapper Moment- Scrapper Supermarket
The Nashville School Board recognized the school food pantry program and Scrapper Supermarket, located at Nashville High School, at Monday’s board meeting. Over $14,000 in donations from local businesses and individuals has helped to provide several needy students with food. A recent $25,000 donation by Tyson Foods will be used to sustain the program and allow for expansion. NHS Counselor Crystal Evans and organizer Shawn Dale spoke at the meeting and thanked the community for supporting the food pantry program. Harvest Texarkana has also contributed to the success of the effort. Also, pictured is board president Randy Elliott.
