Scrapper season comes to an end in semi-finals against the Leopards; Jr teams win Blevins tournament and cheer teams place first at cheer competition
The 2022 football season came to an end Friday night for the Nashville Scrappers as the Malvern Leopards defeated the Scrappers 56 to 37 in the semi-finals of the 4A state playoffs.
Nashville led early in the 1st quarter 19 to 7 on two touchdowns by Alex Mendeola and one by Sloan Perrin, but Malvern came back in the the 2nd quarter to take a 21 to 19 lead at the half.
The Scrappers and the Leopards traded touchdowns throughout the 3rd quarter, even scoring three touchdowns on three consecutive 1-play drives at one point in the quarter. Nashville continued to battle in the 4th but Malvern was able to hold off the Scrappers and advance to the state finals by the score of 56-37.
Nashville finishes the season 10 and 4 and ranked number four in the state.

The Nashville High School Cheer team won first place in the Southern Spirit cheer competition on Saturday at Lake Hamilton and the Nashville Junior High Cheer team won first place in the 4A junior division. They also won first place in the strong stunt competition.
