Scrapperette basketball post-season honors

After the Nashville Scrapperette basketball team defeated Farmington 42-41 on March 12 to win the first state basketball championship in school history, last week, coach Paul Dean announced the post-season honors for the class 4A state champions.

Kyleigh Scoggins, Sidney Townsend and Lauren Carver were named All-State. 

Scoggins was named the Most Valuable Player for the All-State Tournament Team.

Carver and Townsend were named to the All-State Tournament Team.

Olivia Dean, Caroline Dean, Honesty Taylor, Aaliyah Hollins, Sage Green and Sophie Kuykendall were named All-Conference for the 7-4A district.

The Scrapperettes won the 7-4A District regular season, and they won the district tournament championship. The Scrapperettes had a 33-2 overall record and were the Class 4A South Regional Tournament Champions. They also won the Heavenly Hoops tournament at Mt. St. Mary, the Spa City Classic at Hot Springs and the Nashville Bankers Holiday Classic.
