Scrapperette softball team wins Ashdown tournament championship
The Nashville Scrapperette Softball team completed an undefeated weekend Saturday night by winning the championship of the Ashdown tournament. Friday night, the squad played a regular game at the city park against Taylor High School, and won that contest by a final of 12 to 1. The Scrapperettes then played their first round Ashdown tournament game at the city park as well, against Spring Hill, winning that game 10 to nothing in just three innings. The remaining three contests were also won by 10 to nothing scores against Waldron, Genoa Central and Booneville.
The local squad opens conference play tomorrow against Malvern in a game that will be aired on 105.5 FM.
