Scrapperettes defeat Ashdown 13-2

Thursday night, the game started as a pitcher’s duel and then the Scrapperettes offense exploded for 9-runs on 9-hits in the top of the seventh inning to earn a 13-2 victory over the Panthers of Ashdown.

Maci McJunkins pitched seven complete innings for the win. She gave up 2-runs on 5-hits and struck out 10.

Nashville scored one run in the top of the fifth, but Ashdown came back and scored two in the bottom of the inning. Nashville retook the lead in the top of the sixth and added nine insurance runs in the top of the seventh to secure the win.

Nashville will play Arkadelphia today at 4:30 that game will be followed by a junior varsity game with Murfreesboro. Both games will be broadcast on 105.5 the Maverick.
